Other human body energy harvesting alternatives will be investigated.<o:p></o:p>The goal is to eliminate the need for energy storage batteries, and to operate the devices continuously and for long-term. <o:p></o:p>As a final product, a series of energy-autonomous implants for study of effect of light/electrical stimulation on nervous systems will be developed. At the same time, these wearables can be used for biomonitoring. This technology has application in treating several neurodegenerative diseases, as well as certain bladder dysfunctions. <o:p></o:p>In parallel, the developed energy harvesting systems can be used for other applications in IoT.<o:p></o:p>A low-power IoT system will be implemented as a demonstrator of the capabilities of the developed Energy Storage technology.
