Dear All, 

On behalf of the Organizing Committee, we would like to invite you to attend the Symposium “Medical devices in brain research: from design to clinical application” to be held on the 24th of October 2016, in Coimbra, Portugal. 

The event will address different aspects of medical devices for neuroscience, representing an opportunity to gather national and international experts in medicine, research, design and commercialization of medical devices, regulation and entrepreneurship. 

Our goal is to disseminate recent advances in neurofeedback and functional neuroimaging, promote discussion and exchange of ideas, giving participants the opportunity to establish new collaborations. 

The event will have four sessions, emphasizing the following topics: “Neurofeedback: from functional neuroimaging to clinical practice”, “Clinical applications of brain computer interfaces”, “Medical devices, regulatory aspects and health economics” and “Clinical trials using imaging and neurophysiology”. 

Coimbra, the first capital of Portugal, lies on the banks of the Mondego river, and the University (founded in the XIII th century) and its surroundings is listed by UNESCO as World Heritage.
