Subject: Seminar 2: "Stretchable electronics for wearable health monitoring"

Bio:
Dr. Alexi Charalambides is a post-doctoral researcher in the Soft Materials Lab at Carnegie Mellon University. He completed his Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Maryland College Park in 2016. Dr. Charalambides has published several patents and journal articles detailing the performance, manufacturing, and implementation of soft, wearable electronics. His expertise includes multiphysics finite element design and modeling, soft sensor and circuit design, rapid manufacturing and patterning of composite and dielectric elastomers both within and outside of cleanroom environments, and implementation of elastomer technologies in robotic systems. Currently, he is working towards commercializing a low-cost wearable patch for health monitoring.
