Dear Aníbal Traça de Almeida,
The State Department is offering 100 emerging entrepreneurs and
innovative community leaders from across Europe the opportunity to
expand their leadership and entrepreneurial experience through
fellowships at U.S. businesses and civil society organizations.
This program, the Young Transatlantic Innovation Leaders Initiative
(YTILI), will build networks and lasting partnerships in the U.S. that
can serve to attract investment and support for entrepreneurial ventures.
While the general application deadline has passed the organizers are
hoping to increase participation from a few select countries including
Portugal and have extended the application deadline for applicants from
these countries. If you or someone you know is interested and qualified
please send your name and email address to:opalisbon at state.gov

receive a link from the German Marshal Fund <http://www.gmfus.org/>,
which is administering the program here in Europe, with a link to the
application.
Program Requirements:
·Are between the ages of 24 and 35 on January 9, 2017.
·Are a citizen of one of the participating countries: Albania, Armenia,
Austria, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Belgium, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria,
Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France,
Georgia, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Kosovo,
Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Macedonia, Malta, Moldova, Montenegro,
Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Russia, Serbia,
Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey, Ukraine, United
Kingdom.
·Currently resides in one of the participating countries: Albania,
Armenia, Austria, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Belgium, Bosnia and Herzegovina,
Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland,
France, Georgia, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy,
Kosovo, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Macedonia, Malta, Moldova,
Montenegro, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Russia,
Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey, Ukraine,
United Kingdom.
·Are eligible to receive a U.S. J-1 visa.
·_Have at least two (2) years of entrepreneurial/leadership experience
with a startup business or social venture._
·Are not a U.S. citizen or permanent resident of the United States.
·Are not a U.S. government employee.
·Are proficient in reading, writing and speaking English.
