Caros Colegas e Investigadores,
Boa tarde,
Venho convida-los a assistir ao seminario proferido pelo Doutor Jose
Miguel Alberto,
*Wireless Power Transfer for Biomedical Applications*
que terá lugar quinta-feira 19 de Outubro à 11 horas - Anfiteatro do ISR*
***
Abstract:
Wireless power transfer (WPT) has recently received a considerable
attention by researchers owing to the potential applications of this
technology, used to charge and/or power appliances which range from
electrical vehicles to portable electronic equipment and implantable
medical devices. WPT biomedical systems have shown to be a promising
application for this type of technology, since they can improve the
diagnosis and treatment of certain medical conditions. This presentation
starts with an introduction about the history of WPT, used techniques
(near-field/far-field), their applications, standards and guidelines for
safety issues. Then, the current state-of-art of WPT for biomedical
applications is presented by introducing the different types of systems
(diagnosis, treatment, auxiliary) and describing the design and
prototype construction of different systems existent in literature.
