*/Title/: A novel measurement procedure to identify critical frequencies
for coupled Electromagnetic signals*

/Abstract:/A novel measurement procedure to identify critical
frequencies at which electromagnetic signals couple into electronic
devices is presented. The proposed method determines the power absorbed
by the device under test (DUT) as a function of the frequency via the
difference between the power dissipated in an empty and in a loaded
electromagnetic reverberation chamber.

To increase the statistical significance of the results, particularly in
case of a bad signal-to-noise ration, parametric models for the power
absorption of uni- or multi-modal resonators are fitted to the measured
spectral power absorption. The validity of the method is proven by
simple generic DUTs with previously known characteristics.

/Short Bio:///Lars Ole Fichte finished his PhD on solving low frequency
eddy current problems with a semi-analytical method combining separation
and boundary integral methods in 2007 and has been working as a
researcher at Helmut Schmidt University since. His research interest
include (but are not limited to) precise measurement of electromagnetic
fields in EMC test setups, primarily Reverberation chambers, statistical
investigations on EMC field tests and the interaction of RF range fields
with biological tissue. He is the Chairman of German URSI commission K,
a senior member of IEEE EMC society, and works with various
standardization committee, such as IEC SC77C.
