We are accepting applications for one Postdoctoral Research Grant for the C4
- Cloud Computing Competences Centre, taking place at the University of
Beira Interior, Covilha (Portugal), under the following conditions:

Scientific Area: Cloud Robotics

Grant value and duration: the grant is for 24 months and has a value of 1
509,80 euro per month.

Deadline for applications: March 5th, 2019.

Admission requirements: The candidates should have a PhD degree in Computer
Science and Engineering, Electrical Engineering or equivalent. Special
relevance will be given to the candidates with experience in Artificial
Intelligence, Computer Vision or Robotics.

Objectives and Work plan: The work plan includes scientific and
technological research tasks carried out in order to achieve the goals
proposed in WP2.4 of the C4 - Cloud Computing Competences Centre.
Particularly, the selected candidate will participate in the development of
the following tasks: (1) Definition of a generic model of algorithm
cloudification that allows robots to take advantage of the resources placed
at their disposal in the cloud; (2) Enhance the collaboration and sharing of
information between several robots, ensuring that this is possible without
violating the privacy or security of the systems in which they are inserted;
(3) Create guidelines on the type of robotic services that can use this
technology.; and (4) Elaboration of scientific reports and articles and
dissemination of the results in national and international scientific
events.
