The Sociedad Española para la Investigación y desarrollo en Robótica 
(SEIDROB) and the Sociedade Portuguesa de Robótica (SPR) award a prize 
for the best Iberian PhD Thesis in the field of Robotics for students 
who have defended their PhD in the years 2017, 2018, and 2019.

The prize is endowed with 900 euros for the winner; winner and finalist 
will also receive an accrediting diploma.

The following criteria will be taken into account in the evaluation:

- The innovation of the contributions presented in the Thesis, as well 
as the experimental validation of the results.

- The number and quality of the (accepted) publications that have 
emerged from the PhD that have as authors both the student and supervisor.

The jury will be composed of an equal number of Spanish and Portuguese 
experts.

NOTE

For Spanish participants

The participant must be a SEIDROB student member for the year 2019. The 
advisor must be an individual SEIDROB member or, alternatively, his/her 
institution must be an institutional partner.

For Portuguese participants

The participant or his/her advisor must be a SPR member for the year
