The University of Coimbra opens a call for *_five_* research 
fellowships, in the framework of the POWER project “Empowering a Digital 
Future” (reference: POCI-01-0247-FEDER-070365), co-financed by the 
European Regional Development Fund, through Portugal 2020 (PT2020), and 
by the Competitiveness and Internationalization Operational Programme 
(COMPETE 2020),in the following conditions:

*Scientific area*: 5G Networks, Cloud Computing continuum, Data-driven 
technologies, and business models, Artificial Intelligence, Machine 
Learning, Data Science, Data Visualization, and Cybersecurity.

*Duration*: 6 months

*Skills/Qualifications/Admission requirements*: Master's Degree in 
Informatics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Data Science and 
Engineering or similar enrolled in a Ph.D. Program in Informatics 
Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Data Science and Engineering or 
similar, or enrolled in a course not conferring an academic degree.

*Work plan/ Objectives*: Research activities in POWER Project - 
"Empowering a Digital Future". This project aims to create an innovative 
portfolio of products and services for the next generation of 
telecommunications infrastructures and services, mostly based on data 
driven, cloud, and cognitive technologies.

*Financial conditions*: The amount of the fellowship is € *1.104,64* 
corresponding to the monthly compensation stipulated in the FCT table 
(https://www.fct.pt/apoios/bolsas/valores.phtml.en), plus social 
security (Seguro Social Voluntário, first level contributions), 
*_tuition fees in the amount of € 2,750.00_* per academic year, 
supported by own resources and personal accidents insurance. The payment 
will be made by bank transfer. This amount will not be increased during 
the entire period of the fellowship duration.**
