Call for one Research Scholarships within the scope of the R&D project GreenBotics (PTDC/EEI-ROB/2459/2021)

 

Job: 1 (one) Research Fellowship for Masters/MEng/MSc.

Main research field: Engineering

Sub research field: Electrical and Computer Engineering, Computer Eng., Biomedical Eng., Physics, Mathematics, Physical Eng. or related areas.

Application period: 24th January to 4th February, 2022

 

 

Job description:

The Institute of Systems and Robotics - University of Coimbra (ISR-UC) opens the call for applications for one (1) Research Fellowship for Masters/MEng/MSc in the scope of the R&D project: GreenBotics - “Intelligent Robotic System for Digital Agriculture”, under the reference PTDC/EEI-ROB/2459/2021, financed by the FCT.

 

 

Admission requirements: Master’s degree in electrical and Computer Engineering, Computer Eng., Biomedical Eng., Physics, Mathematics, Physical Eng., or related areas. Candidates are expected to be enrolled in a doctoral program or a non-degree course program in Portugal. Applicants with academic degrees obtained abroad will be required to present a Certificate of Recognition in accordance with applicable law.

 

Work Plan: development of deep-probabilistic inference algorithms and techniques related to imagery processing (provided by satellite and/or UAV systems), spatiotemporal filtering, data representation, and deep learning.

The selected candidate will also collaborate in tasks related to remote sensing, robotics, integration and testing, and on the dissemination actions.
