No âmbito do projeto *BungEES (Building Up Next-Generation Smart Energy 
Services Offer"- *LIFE-2021-CET-SMARTSERV*)*, cujo objetivo é o 
desenvolvimento de modelos inovadores de serviços energéticos que 
integrem a eficiência energética, a flexibilidade da procura e as 
energias renováveis no sector da construção, o *ISR-Universidade de 
Coimbra* vem por este meio convidá-lo a participar no webinar conjunto 
do cluster de projetos LIFE formado pelos projetos *BungEES* e *InEExS 
(Innovative Energy Efficiency Service Models for Sector Integration via 
Blockchain)* .

Este webinar irá explorar e demonstrar o potencial de alavancagem de 
modelos de negócio inovadores para acelerar a transição energética nos 
edifícios. Ao reunir especialistas, profissionais, exemplos de casos 
reais e outros stakeholders, o webinar irá aprofundar as aplicações 
práticas, os desafios e as oportunidades na integração de práticas 
empresariais sustentáveis para serviços e soluções energéticas 
inteligentes.

O evento terá lugar no próximo dia 10 de  dezembro às 9:00h (hora de 
Lisboa ou 10h CET) e proporcionará uma plataforma para o intercâmbio de 
conhecimentos e colaborações futuras, antecipando as atividades de 
replicação que serão lançadas pelos dois projetos no final de 2024.

Tuesday, December 10th from 10:00 until 11:30 CET (09:00-10:30h Lisbon 
Time).*

The collaborative webinar will explore and showcase the potential of 
leveraging innovative business models for accelerating the energy 
transition in buildings. By bringing together experts, practitioners, 
real case examples and stakeholders, the webinar will delve into the 
practical applications, challenges, and opportunities in integrating 
sustainable business practices for smart energy services and solutions. 
The event will provide a platform for knowledge exchange and future 
collaborations, anticipating the replication activities that will be 
launched by the two projects at the end of 2024.

  ABOUT THE PROJECTS

BungEES – Building Up Next-Generation Smart Energy Services Offer and 
Market Up-take Valorising Energy Efficiency and Flexibility at 
Demand-Side

overall objective of the project is to develop an integrated package (a 
one-stop-shop package) of novel smart energy efficiency services (EES) 
integrating energy efficiency and distributed generation, demand 
response, e-mobility, energy storage/hybrid energy systems and 
integrating different energy sectors (e.g., electricity with heating and 
cooling), and to develop innovative financing and rewarding solutions. 
In addition, the integration of non-energy benefits and non-energy 
services will be investigated. Focus will be on identifying market, 
regulatory and other barriers for integrated energy efficiency. 
Innovative legal, financial, and regulatory solutions to overcome these 
barriers and enablers of EES market will be recommended.

InEExS – Innovative Energy (Efficiency) Service Models for Sector 
Integration via Blockchain:

core concept of InEExS is the deployment of integrated energy services 
across sectors and carriers, and the tokenization of energy saving data 
in a public blockchain to facilitate cooperation among market segments 
and actors. InEExS improves the implementation of Energy Efficiency 
Directive (EED) Art7 and supports Obligated Parties to provide 
integrated service offers that enable energy savings, system efficiency 
and include non-energy benefits. Particular attention is placed on the 
development of business models and contractual schemes that facilitate 
the implementation of sector-integrating smart energy services and the 
deployment of a wide range of sustainable technologies.
