Dear ISR community,

Ingeniarius, in collaboration with University of Coimbra and ISR, is organizing the 2nd Robotics Craftsmanship International Academy (RobotCraft 2017): http://robotcraft.ingeniarius.pt/

== What we offer ==

Summer internship at Ingeniarius as one of RobotCraft 2017 mentors, with subsistence costs covered.

== What we are looking for ==

We are looking for someone dynamic, capable to easily interact in English (min. level B1), with some knowledge in C/C++ programming (ideally Arduino), with particular interest in working in a multicultural environment which revolves around the development of robots (CAD, Arduino, ROS, etc.) and multiple other events (trips to other Portuguese cities, karaokes, dinners, parties, etc).

The mentor can participate in the whole course (from the 3rd July to the 3rd September), or in specific components of the course, according to the following schedule:
• CAD+Mechatronics: 3-14 July (2 weeks)
• Arduino+Control: 17-28 July (2 weeks)
• ROS+AI: 31 July to 11 August + 21 August to 1 September (2 weeks + 2 weeks, either separately or combined)

The subsistence costs of mentors will be covered by Ingeniarius.

NOTE: The team comprises, currently, 15 male mentors and 1 female mentor, and, therefore, applications from female candidates will have priority over male candidates (6 vacancies are still available).

== About RobotCraft ==

RobotCraft is an international internship with a unique summer course in robotics for BSc to PhD students. The students attending this 2-months program have the opportunity to work in robotics, focusing on several state-of-the-art approaches and technologies. The summer course, now in its second edition and entitled as the 2nd Robotics Craftsmanship International Academy (RobotCraft 2017), will provide a general overview of the science and art behind robotics, teaching the basis around Arduino programming and ROS. Students will learn how to design, build and program their robots throughout multiple crafts, carefully prepared to provide a wide range of skills and knowledge in the topic. This new version broke the record - RobotCraft 2017 received nearly 100 applications from students coming from a wide range of countries, namely Egypt, Spain, Jordan, Lebanon, Palestine, Portugal, Sweden, Turkey, Germany, Algeria, Estonia, Finland, United Kingdom, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Morocco, Malaysia, Netherlands, Romania and Kosovo, and a wide range of courses, namely Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Mechatronics, Educational Robotics, Industrial Business, Management Engineering, Industrial Engineering, and many others – all in the same place and with the intent to be the future of robotics.
