Seminar by Dr. Veera Sadhu on Graphe and its Applications
Thursday- July 25th, 10:00 am ISR Amphitheater

Abstract
Nanomaterials based on graphene and graphene related materials are highly important because of their unique properties for example high contact surface area, high electrical conductivity and their enormous stability. Graphene materials have been used as promising candidate for many different applications including energy conversion and storage, sensors, and electronics applications.
However, the solution processing of these materials can hinder their applications. Therefore, we modify graphene nanomaterials with different mono and multi-functional reactive groups, e.g. amine, thiophene, RGD etc., to improve their dispersion in appropriate solvents and polymers.
Applications of these multi-functional materials in organic solar cells, OLEDs, and tissue engineering will be discussed. The combination of Materials chemistry together with wearable electronics finds the future niche towards human and environment monitoring.
