Iniciativa SoapBox Science chegou a Coimbra. Soapbox Science é uma
iniciativa global de comunicação de ciência que promove as mulheres e a sua
ciência. As mulheres são convidadas a subir a uma caixa e, sem microfone,
apresentar de uma forma simples e compreensível a investigação que
desenvolvem, levando a sua investigação até ao público pelas ruas de
Coimbra. 

O prazo para candidatura das oradoras é dia 23 de setembro, 17h (NOVA DATA).
As candidaturas devem ser feitas através do
<https://ls.uc.pt/index.php/733971?lang=pt> preenchimento deste
questionário.

A primeira edição Soapbox Science Coimbra, apoiada pelo Instituto de
Investigação Interdisciplinar, acontece a 23 de novembro entre a Alta e
Baixa de Coimbra, em comemoração do Dia da Cultura Científica.

Haverá espaço para 12 investigadoras da UC, de diferentes áreas científicas
e em distintas fases da carreira, partilharem a sua Ciência, o seu percurso,
as suas paixões, com o público em geral, desenvolvendo competências de
comunicação e convivendo com outras investigadoras.

SoapBox Science Initiative has arrived at Coimbra Soapbox Science is a
global science communication initiative that promotes women and their
science. Women are invited to stand up on a box and, without a microphone,
present their research in a simple and understandable way, taking their
research to the public through the streets of Coimbra.

The deadline for applications for this initiative has been extended until
September 23rd, 5pm. Applications must be made by
<https://ls.uc.pt/index.php/733971?lang=en> completing this questionnaire.

The first Soapbox Science Coimbra edition, supported by the Institute of
Interdisciplinary Research, will take place on November 23rd between Alta
and Baixa of Coimbra, in commemoration of the Scientific Culture Day.

There will be space for 12 women UC researchers, from different scientific
areas and in different career stages, to share their Science with the
public, developing communication skills and socializing with other
researchers.
