  under the CMU Portugal Program*

The CMU Portugal Program has**an**Open Call for up to 10 Dual Degree 
Ph.D. scholarships <https://t.e2ma.net/click/13u72k/xw6s46/pmth4fb>* for 
the 2026/2027 academic year *on cutting-edge areas of *Information and 
Communication Technologies (ICT), *funded by Fundação para a Ciência e 
Tecnologia (FCT).

Specific application deadlines for each one of the *eleven available 
Ph.D. programs are the following:*

*- December 1st (11:59 p.m. EST):* Cognitive Neuroscience

*- December 15th* *(11:59 p.m. EST): *Electrical and Computer

Engineering and Public Policy

*Applications must be submitted online directly to CMU. *

CMU Portugal Dual Degree Doctoral students conduct their studies in both 
Portugal (3 years at a Portuguese-affiliated university) and the United 
States (2 years at CMU). The *10 Scholarships *are available on a 
competitive basis, *covering full tuition and providing a monthly 
stipend during the study period at both CMU and in Portugal.*
